Aconcagua

Mount Aconcagua has an altitude of 6,960 meters above sea level, it is the most eminent peak in the southern and western hemispheres, the highest on Earth after the Himalayan system, and, therefore, the highest peak in America. Its name in Quechua «akonkauak» means “The rock that looks at its surroundings”, or “stone sentinel”. Aconcagua is a room built of glass, a structure of iron, aluminum, wood, stone and a living roof, it is stretched from a large rock towards the void, which makes it the sentinel of the rocks suspended over the canyon.
